According to EU's consumer affairs commissioner, 80% of websites selling mobile ring tones are tricking people with hidden costs or false advertising. The unsuspecting consumer may be signing up for a subscription or paying extra without their knowledge. Most ringtone ads are aimed at teenagers, who are the majority buyer.

Before buying check the fine print carefully and make sure you understand your purchase and that you are not signing up for a subscription.
